SYSTEM CHECK AND MAINTENANCE

We recommend to use the 1" filter that are fiberglass and without the paper grid to allow maxx air movement across the surface.  These filters only last for 8 to 15 days depending on use of the system but allowing more air to prevent restrictions of airflow as the higher merv filter will catch more but restrictions increase 100% and needs replaced the same as the fiberglass filter so while saying the system your also saying on filter cost.

We recommend to rinse the coils every 30 days to allow peak efficiency year round. With the coils being dirty it causes components to over heat and to over work which create break downs.

We recommend to clean your ducts every 3 years and this is also based on the way the system is being used. If construction is being done with extra dust then it should be Performed when construction is complete. 

We recommend to check you filter every 10 to 15 days based on your temperature setting. Typically when you set your temperature down to a 68°f to 73°f the system runs more so the filter needs change more often.

We recommend getting your HVAC system serviced at least 2 to 4 times a year based on how often you run your systemto ensure it is running efficiently and to catch any potential issues before they become major problems.

Typically the battery low level will display on the screen of the thermostat,  but in most cases we recommend to replace the batteries every 6 months this allows the batteries to stay fresh year round and preventive of corrosion.

There is a vent stack  located at the indoor unit that will have a cap or no cap that you will remove if there is a cap. In the industry technician will mention several fluids you can use to perform a flush with and the fluids are bleach and vinegar with a 1 gallon jug of water to rush the line to confirm they are  clear of the fluids and are not clogged. At times this does not work and you will need to get your ac company or plumber to clear the lines.
